Coach Prodoehl returns to the Club after a two-year hiatus, having last assisted Coach Thompson with the 2007 Varsity, the first StC team to advance to the state semifinals.
He left StC following that season, assuming Head Coach duties at conference rival Neuqua Valley in 2008 and 2009. And before joining us in 2007, Coach Prodoehl spent
10 years with Barrington Boys Lacrosse, first as Assistant Varsity Coach from 1995 to 2000 and then as Head Varsity Coach from 2001 to 2005.
In 2001, his first year as Head Coach, he led the Broncos to a State Championship. The team's 18-0 undefeated season included two victories over perennial power Loyola Academy, including a 10-6 victory in the state final.
During his tenure, the Broncos reached the state quarterfinals twice, the state semifinals twice, and the state championship twice.

Barrington also was undefeated in its conference from 2001 through 2005.
While at Barrington, Coach Prodoehl also was recognized by the national "Character Counts" organization, which promotes character awareness through education. Coach Prodoehl was one of three Barrington Varsity coaches saluted for promoting "fairness and respect," one of the organization's "Six Pillars of Character."
Coach Prodoehl played lacrosse at Northern Illinois University, finishing his four years there as President of the Club in 1995. He graduated from Wheaton Central High School in 1990. Coach Prodoehl lives in Batavia with his wife and three young children. |
