The St. Charles Lacrosse Club fields Girls and Boys high school teams at the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels.
Boys' teams are aligned by high school, with a separate St Charles East Varsity and Junior Varsity team and a separate St Charles North Varsity and Junior Varsity team.
Boys' teams compete in the Illinois High School Lacrosse Association (IHSLA) and are members of the Upstate Conference.
The Girls' teams combines students from St Charles East and St Charles North on a single co-op Varsity and single co-op Junior Varsity squad.
The Girls' teams compete in the DuPage Conference.
The Club plays a nonconference and, when feasible, out-of-state schedule, and has traveled in the past to Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin to face upper-tier competition as well.
The Club is overseen by a parent Board and parent volunteers, with a professional coaching staff. Teams adhere to IHSA (Illinois High School Association) rules and as noted are members of the IHSLA (Illinois High School Lacrosse Association).
The Club is a 501(c)3 organization supported through player fees, corporate and private sponsorship, and fundraising events. |

This season, we are partnering with The Coffeecake Connection Company to raise funds to support the Club.
Coffeecake Connection CEO Christine Welch
(mother of Tyler 'Cobra' Hines, StC '08) will give the Club a generous portion of the proceeds from every delicious item purchased through this program.
"Although lacrosse has rapidly grown over the past five to ten years, it remains one of the few high school sports in Illinois that does not fall under the Illinois High School Association (IHSA)," says Board member Peggy Williams. "This means we are a self-funded program and the cost of the program is directly passed on to the players and their families. This results in high fees and significant fundraising responsibilities.
"Unfortunately, this burden prevents many students from joining our Lacrosse program," she adds. "And it places even greater stress on household finances during these challenging economic times. We try to maintain a low cost structure, but this is difficult given the fact our operating expenses continue to increase."
Through this program, the Club intends to build on its strong past and help today’s youth be properly prepared for their lives beyond high school. We have had several of our players receive college scholarships, and many have earned All-State, All-Conference, and All-American status.
"We know you will enjoy the products from The Coffeecake Connection Company while at the same time supporting the St. Charles High School Lacrosse Club," says Peggy.
Please go to The Coffeecake Connection Co. StC Lacrosse page to shop. Purchases made via the regular site WILL NOT be credited to the Club. |
