The Varsity added another, remarkable chapter to the story of its 2007 season last night, ralllying from a 5-1 halftime deficit to defeat powerhouse Lyons Township 11-9 at East Side Sports Complex.
Conor Hamilton and C.J. Nemec led the StC comeback, netting their combined nine goals in the second half. Thomas Feicco's goal in the first half and his dazzling assist on a Paul DeBord third-quarter score rounded out the StC scoring.
In goal, Sean McGushin stopped 16 shots, and anchored a pressure defense which, in the second half, held Lyons Township to just two scores until the final moments of the game.
