The Varsity finished out its regular season on a high note, beating Waubonsie Valley 12-5 on Thursday night at Norris Stadium at St Charles East High School.
 With the win, the Varsity completes its undefeated, 9-0 DuPage Conference Championship season and secures a no. 3 seed in the IHSLA State Playoffs. St Charles has a first-round bye in the playoffs, and begins play on Thursday, May 24, in St Charles.
The evening also was marked by Senior Night festivities, as 12 graduating seniors and their parents were introduced to the crowd prior to the game.
Honored were Seniors D.J. Doherty, Thomas Feicco, Jeff Filipski, Andy Forsell, Conor Hamilton, Steve Lavigne, C.J. Nemec, Rob Quinn, Scott Schowe, Dylan Ward, Nick Wittig, and Joe Zwolinski.
Congratulations to these players for their many accomplishments, and to them and their parents for their many contributions to St Charles Boys Lacrosse.
At the other end of the spectrum, halftime entertainment featured a scrimmage between players from the Lacrosse America youth leagues under the watchful eye of coordinator (and StC Lax alum) Mike Black.
Just as so many youth league graduates now play, and have played, for the Club, so we look forward to welcoming last night's youth players and their teammates into the Club in the years ahead. |
