Coach Peter Steele

On Registration night, the Board and Coach Thompson introduced a familiar face as the newest member of the JV coaching staff. But far from being the new guy, Coach Peter Steele, who succeeds coaches Bullock and Conner, is actually returning to the Club sidelines for a sixth season.
Coach Steele was a fixture in the StC goal from 2002 to 2005, earning Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in 2005. He recorded 111 saves that season (4th best in Club history), 17 of which came in the memorable "three-man-down game" against Wheaton Warrenville South. Check out the game video here.
After graduating from St Charles East that May, he joined then-JV Coach Thompson's coaching staff for the 2006 season. Together with fellow JV Assistant Coach Charlie Feuerstein, Coach Steele took a select frosh team to the St. Louis Brothers in Arms Tournament that Spring and brought home the championship trophy.
Coach Steele took a "sabbatical" from the Club last season, pursuing his studies at Columbia College in Chicago and captaining the college lacrosse team in its inaugural season of competition.
He also continued to perform with a number of bands, including Davis Bridge. One of his fellow musicians in Davis Bridge is Pat Collins, older brother of 2005-'07 player Andrew Collins. You can hear Davis Bridge and purchase their CD at CDBaby.com.
Please join us in welcoming back Coach Peter Steele
