FACE-OFF CLINIC
On Feb 16 from noon to 1.00pm, Chicago Machine Defender Jake Deane holds a Face-Off Clinic at the MAX Sports Complex in McCook.
This clinic is not just for the face-off men. This clinic is for anyone who wants to learn how to face off or anyone that thinks they might be good at facing off. Attack, Middies and Defenseman are all welcome.
The fee is $75. The clinic is limited to 15. Please email Jake ASAP as the number of players he can take is limited.
Jake played in the 2006 national championship game for UMass and was named to the all-tournament team. He finished fifth in the country in face-off percentage that year. In one of the most memorable NCAA tournament games ever, Jake won 20 of 25 face-offs against Hofstra in an overtime victory that sent UMass to the 2006 Final Four. With eight minutes to go in regulation and down 10-5, Jake went on to win all six of his face-off attempts, sparking the Minutemen to six unanswered goals and a miracle overtime victory.
