Directions The East Side Sports Complex is the St Charles home field.
The field is on the east side of Kirk Road, across from the Regole Farm, about a mile south of Main St/Rte 64. The entrance is just south of the intersection of Tyler and Kirk Rds. The field is the first facility off the entrance driveway, just over the berm. Please do not park on the entrance road, nor on the grass. Please use the north parking lot (which is nearly adjacent to the field) or the main parking lot south of the field. (There is a footbridge at the east end of the north parking lot allowing quicker access to the field.) There are no stands or bleachers. The elevated berm allows great sightlines of the action, however.

The taxman cometh today, and so does St Charles' traditional rival, Neuqua Valley, to the East Side Sports Complex for a 5.30pm showdown. As the head-to-head record shows, not a lot has separated these two teams over 15 varsity games in the past seven seasons. Until last year, a game was rarely decided by more than three or four scores, and eight were decided by two or less. Typically, the season series has decided the DuPage Conference champion as well. In 2003, it was St Charles who won the Conference and beat Neuqua Valley twice. In 2004, it was Neuqua Valley who won the Conference and beat St Charles twice. In 2005, Neuqua Valley again took the conference and beat St Charles three times -- including in the St Charles-hosted Rocks on the Fox tournament title game. The teams even shared the title in 2006, splitting the season series 1-1. And then last year, St Charles won the conference outright with an unbeaten slate, including two wins against the Wildcats (see top video for game one). Ironically, given the rivalry, the teams have also shared a number of coaches. Original Neuqua Valley Head Coach Dave Neff left Naperville in 2005 to lead St Charles for two seasons. And this year, our 2007 Assistant Varsity Coach Brian Prodoehl now leads the Wildcats as their Head Coach. In addition, coaches Joe Maselli and Tony Genovese have served as Assistant Coaches for both varsity teams. Naturally, the heated competition hasn't been limited to varsity contests only. In 2004, the StC JV won a thrilling Rocks on the Fox title game in overtime against Neuqua Valley (see bottom video), and in the past two years, the StC JV has won regular-season overtime stunners against the Wildcats as well: In 2006, current Varsity attackman Alek Szmajda scored to end the game on the opening faceoff of OT, and in 2007 current Varsity attackman Chad Ellis did the exact same thing.
