Club partners with Athletico for player training
Trainers will attend Registration on Jan. 23

The Club recently partnered with Athletico to create a sport-specific training program for our players.

Athletico has designed a program of pre-season, in-season and off-season workouts.  The focus is on strength training AND speed and agility, and each workout should take between 30 and 45 minutes to complete.

Players can perform these workouts on their own, with or without a weight room or exercise equipment.  Athetico, which has created a similar system for StC North basketball and swim teams, will instruct players and coaches on the correct method for each exercise.  But it ultimately is up to each player to follow the program.

As with the 500K Club, we will recognize those who adhere to the program and meet a series of threshold goals.

During the first week of January, Athletico trainers met with our players to take them step-by-step through the workout designed specifically for our club.  The sessions were at Athletico, in the fitness area, on the machines. 

If you weren't able to attend these sessions, an Athletico trainer will attend Registration on Jan. 23 to introduce the program. The trainer also will answer parents' questions, and will advise those who have already begun the program.

Athletico is located on the second floor of the Sportsplex; stairs are on the right as you enter the main foyer.

There is no charge to the player for this program.
