Varsity 11 • Oak Park and River Forest 3
|
With an opportunistic offense and a defense that challenged every Oak Park possession, St Charles battled to a 11-3 victory at Oak Park on Thursday night.
Conor Hamilton did most of the damage for St Charles, scoring four goals. Three of those shots came off Thomas Feicco assists. Thomas added three goals of his own, with Vince Frantz scoring twice and Tyler Chamberlain and Sean Brogan scoring once.
Several times, Sean McGushin stuffed Oak Park attackmen at point-blank range. But it wasn't often that Oak Park managed such a shot, as the St C middies and defenders consistently put a body on their man and took away the ball.
The attack, too, harassed the Oak Park goalie and his defense into several turnovers.
